Biography
I have always been creative in trying to make surroundings feel good, to feel like me and the place I belong. It took me some time to figure out how to develop this into as a career but would never change anything about my journey.
My first love was coloring – everything about it, from how the crayon felt on the paper to the order of the colors in the box. During art class in elementary school, I found myself able to explore my world outside of daily reality. In high school, this translated into finding ways to mix mediums such as clay, glass, and watercolors. Then came time to pick a career. Of course, I will be a sculptress! Instead, I decided to study Graphic Design and I earned an associate degree. I moved to Lake Placid, NY, and accepted a position in merchandising. It was my first taste of organizing and I didn’t even know it! I loved my job but not the cold. I moved back to the Burgh and eventually decided to return to school, earning a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2010. Since then, I have worked for firms specializing in commercial design, residential kitchens, and custom closet systems. What do all of these things have in common? Space planning and organizing!
Function creates beauty, and it is my mission to help others achieve this in their lives. It could be anything from discovering a way to showcase a favorite art piece to designing a process to help you find a place for everything. Enhancing function gives flow to your home and creates space to be able to enjoy whatever life brings.
